CountMyCode Pro does not use cookies. Not for tracking, not for advertising, not for analytics, not for authentication. The application functions entirely without cookies.

This policy exists to be transparent about our practices and to comply with regulations like GDPR and ePrivacy Directive.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They are commonly used for session management, personalization, tracking, and advertising. Many websites use cookies extensively — we don't.

CountMyCode Pro does not use any of the following types of cookies:

• Essential cookies — Not needed (no server-side sessions)
• Analytics cookies — No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Fathom
• Advertising cookies — No ads, no Google AdSense, no Facebook Pixel
• Tracking cookies — No cross-site tracking
• Social media cookies — No social embeds
• Authentication cookies — No login system

We use the browser's localStorage API (not cookies) to store your preferences on your device. Unlike cookies, localStorage data:

• Is never transmitted to any server
• Is not included in HTTP requests
• Cannot be used for cross-site tracking
• Can be cleared anytime from your browser settings

We store only your theme preference, worker settings, and ignore patterns. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Our marketing website may load fonts from Google Fonts. Google's CDN may set cookies in some cases. However:

• The CountMyCode Pro app (at /app) does not load any third-party content
• We do not control Google's cookie practices
• You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings

Since we don't use cookies, there's nothing to manage on our end. However, you can control cookies from other websites through your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy Directive, websites must obtain user consent before setting non-essential cookies. Since CountMyCode Pro does not use any cookies, no consent is required — and you won't see any annoying cookie banners on our app.

If we ever decide to use cookies in the future (we probably won't), we will update this policy and provide clear notice. Any cookies added would be strictly essential and opt-in.
