Terms of Service

By accessing and using CountMyCode Pro (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

CountMyCode Pro is a client-side web application that analyzes source code repositories. The Service runs entirely in the user's browser and does not require any server-side processing, data upload, or account creation.

The Service provides features including but not limited to: code line counting, language detection, file analysis, directory visualization, duplicate detection, and quality metrics computation.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CountMyCode Pro for your personal or commercial use, subject to these Terms.

The Service is provided free of charge for personal and open-source projects. Commercial use is permitted under the terms outlined in our pricing model (if applicable).

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to analyze code that you do not have permission to access
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service in a way that exceeds normal usage
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission

The Service, including its source code, design, text, graphics, and software, is the intellectual property of CountMyCode Pro and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

You retain all rights to the source code that you analyze using the Service. We claim no ownership over your code — it never leaves your browser, and we have no access to it.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. As stated in the Privacy Policy, we do not collect, store, or transmit your source code or analysis results.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy or reliability of analysis results
• MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• Non-infringement of intellectual property
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Analysis results (line counts, language detection, complexity metrics) are heuristic estimates and may not be 100% accurate. You should not rely solely on these metrics for critical decisions.

In no event shall CountMyCode Pro, its developers, or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

• Loss of profits, data, or use
• Business interruption
• Errors or inaccuracies in analysis results
• Any damage to your files or system

Since the Service runs entirely in your browser and does not modify your files, the risk of data loss is minimal. However, we recommend backing up your data regularly.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CountMyCode Pro and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

We may terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Since the Service runs client-side, termination would typically involve removing access to the hosted version. Your locally installed or self-hosted versions would continue to function.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration or in the appropriate courts.
